With all the hype behind Mark Bulger being in Oakland it was once again the defense that stepped up and make several big plays. LB's Ryan and Phillips both had 2 sacks and safety Schweigert had a interception . Rookie WR Arrelious Benn had 4 receptions for 107yards. Tai Streets also came up big with 3 receptions for 50 yards and a TD but also dropped a wide open TD pass. The running game was non existant as the Lions played very stout run defense. Mark Bulger had a good game 14-27 for 249 1 td and 1 int but had several drops .
