Panthers win 1st pre-season game vs. NYG

Team News Wire  Panthers Defense looked good 1st half as the starters shut down Eli Manning and his Recievers..holding manning to 38 yards, 1 INT. Dan Morgan is still a beast in the middle...and definently the Defensive Leader on the team. I expect Peppers to continue to be one of the leagues sack leaders. I very happy with the outlook of the Defensive side of the ball.
Panthers Run D look very good, hold ing the Giants to 62 yards total for the game.
Meanwhile on offense..Jake Delohomme earned a 100+ rating for the 1st half. he's obviously in a fight to keep his job as starter. He displayed his ability to lead the team down the field..and make critical 3rd downs. Backup QB Woodson (exceept for 1 int) outplayed his mentor... throwing for more yards and gaining more YPA. However..he didn t score a TD. He's being considered for the starting job.
Of course the NFC SOUTH will be the toughest Division to get a win in so who ever wins it will be very strong contenders in there playoff bid.
I m sure this team will make at least the Wildcard game..However, we're still in search of a dominant FS and SS to solidify the D.
